Samsung Axis Bank Signature Credit Card is a co-brand card of Samsung and Axis Bank. It is mainly useful for people who buy Samsung mobiles, TVs, fridges, ACs, or other electronics. In simple words, if you already like the Samsung Brand, this card feels like a standing discount coupon. It is like a Flipkart credit card, but based on 1 Brand only.
It is an entry-level shopping card made for gadget users. You get proper savings on Samsung products, plus some everyday lifestyle brands, and the annual fee is also low, so normal users can easily keep it.
When did Samsung partner with Axis Bank to launch this card?
As per Finextra News, Samsung Axis Bank Credit Card (including Signature variant) launched in India on 26 September 2022. This is a co-branded card made by Samsung and Axis Bank, and it runs on the Visa network.
It also comes in a Mastercard variant, but the RuPay option is not available on this card. If you want UPI from a credit card, Axis Bank usually gives a separate pre-approved RuPay LTF card with the same limit, which you can link and use for UPI payments.
Core Benefits: Card Rewards And Cashback Structure
1. Massive Samsung Cashback
- You get 10% cashback on a Samsung product purchase
- Max ₹2,500 per month and ₹10,000 per year (from card issue date).
- Cashback means money directly adjusted in your credit card bill.
This is why many users apply only when buying a new Samsung phone (especially Galaxy S series or Fold/Flip).
Where cashback works:
- Samsung physical stores (EMI or full swipe on PineLabs / Benow machines)
- Samsung official website (Samsung e-Store)
- Samsung Shop App
- Payment at Samsung service centres
- If you buy from a local retail shop, keep the payment slip + bill for up to 180 days in case cashback does not come.
- Amazon and Flipkart purchases do not work.
Example – You bought a Samsung phone worth ₹80,000 from a store or the Samsung website → You will get around ₹8,000 cashback (within monthly/yearly limit). Means your phone effectively costs about ₹72,000. This is without reward point calculation, no voucher tension, cashback comes straight in credit card statement.
2. Activation Benefit (Welcome Benefit)
- You get 2500 EDGE Reward points after doing 3 transactions (any amount) within 30 days of card issue.
- Points normally show in the account within up to 60 days after the 3rd payment.
- This welcome benefit is one-time only. If you close the card and take the same variant again, you won’t get it again.
- You can redeem points from the Axis Bank mobile app or the EDGE Rewards website under the rewards section.
3. Accelerated Reward Points (Edge)
- Get 5 EDGE Reward points on every ₹100 spent (India or international).
- You will get an extra 10 EDGE Reward points per ₹100 on selected partner brands.
- Partner brands: These are the top deals – Zomato, BigBasket, Myntra, Tata 1mg and Urban Company.
- Points are usually credited within up to 60 days after the transaction.
No reward points on these payments: You will get no rewards on that –
- Rent payments/rent apps
- Fuel payments
- Wallet loading (Paytm wallet, etc.)
- Gold & jewellery purchase
- Government payments (tax, challa,n etc.)
- School/college fees
- Mobile, electricity, and water bill payments
4. Fuel Surcharge Waiver
When you use this Samsung Axis Bank card at a petrol pump, normally pump charges ~1% extra as a card fee. This card removes that charge.
- Valid on fuel payment between ₹400 to ₹4,000 per swipe
- You can save up to ₹500 in one statement month
- Only the surcharge is reversed — the GST part is not refunded
- No reward points or no cashback on fuel
You filled petrol worth ₹2,000 and paid using this card. The pump machine adds about ₹20 extra as a surcharge, so the slip shows near ₹2,020. After a few days, Axis Bank automatically credits that ~₹20 back in your statement. You don’t see it instantly at the pump — it comes later in the bill adjustment. Only GST few rupees stays, rest charge removed.
What are the Top Features?
1. Complimentary Airport Lounge Access
You get 4 free domestic airport lounge visits in a year with this Signature card.
But there is a spending condition now:
- You must spend ₹50,000 or more in the previous 3 months on the card (rule from 1 May 2024).
- If you don’t meet this usage, your lounge entry will be declined at the airport. Check the list of Axis Bank Credit Cards, the Axis Bank Credit Cards Domestic Airport Lounge Access Program
In simple terms, you need to actually use the card for shopping or payments. Then at the airport you just swipe the card at the lounge desk, and entry becomes free.
2. Dining Delights Offer
- Get up to 15% discount (max ₹500) at 4,000+ partner restaurants in India.
- Can be used once every month.
- Minimum bill should be ₹2,500.
You just tell the restaurant you want to pay via Axis Bank Dining Delights and pay using this card. The discount gets applied to the bill.
Note: This is a bank-side offer, so Axis Bank can change or stop it anytime.
3. Wednesday Delight Offers
Every Wednesday, you get some extra deals with this card:
- Up to 15% instant discount on flight & hotel booking via MakeMyTrip and Goibibo
- 10% off on Swiggy food orders and Amazon Fresh grocery orders
- 10% discount (max ₹1,000) on Tira shopping
4. Convert Purchase to EMI
- For any transaction of ₹2,500 or higher than that, you can convert into EMI after purchase from the Axis app or customer care.
- Interest rate (Latest): Axis Bank usually charges around ~1.3% to 1.6% per month (roughly 16%–20% yearly) + small processing fee + GST. In special events, they offer NO-COST EMI.
Example: You bought a SAMSUNG TV for ₹30,000 and converted to 6-month EMI → bill becomes smaller monthly payments, but the total you pay a little extra because of interest. So EMI helps cash flow, but it is not free — the bank earns from interest.
