BOBCARD Premier Credit Card
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (Balanced Lifestyle Card)
Useful for daily spends, online shopping and occasional travel bookings. Earn reward points on most payments and get 1 domestic airport lounge visit every quarter.
💡 Easemoney Tip: Use this card for monthly bills and grocery shopping. Reaching ₹1.2 lakh yearly spend makes the card effectively free.

The BOBCARD Premier Credit Card (earlier called Bank of Baroda Premier) is a mid-range travel and dining card mainly suited for people who travel sometimes and also spend on restaurants. It has an annual fee of Rs. 1000, but right now it is being issued lifetime free under an offer valid till 31 March 2026, so no yearly fee tension if approved during this period.

The credit card is available on RuPay as well as the Visa network. Earlier, it used to be mostly Visa Signature, but now many customers prefer the RuPay version because it can be linked with UPI — small shop payments and QR scan payments can be done directly from a credit card.

Recent News: As per CNBCTV18, on 10 February 2026, BOBCARD Limited launched a new Braille-enabled Premier card for visually impaired users, announced in collaboration with the Indian Blind Women’s Cricket Team. The card has raised Braille markings so the holder can identify orientation and usage easily. Overall, it still remains a travel-focused lifestyle card with RuPay support and inclusive design.

What are the Welcome and Travel Benefits of the Premier Card?

The Premier Credit Card is positioned as a travel OR lifestyle card — suitable for people who book flights sometimes, dine outside and want basic airport comfort without a high annual fee burden.

1. Welcome & Fee Waiver Benefits

  • Spend ₹5,000 within 60 days of card issue and get 500 bonus reward points.
  • If you spend ₹10,000 in the first 60 days, the normal joining fee gets waived.
  • Additionally, if yearly spending reaches ₹1,20,000 in the card anniversary year, the annual fee is also waived.
  • Right now, as I already mentioned, applications submitted before the end of March 2026 are being issued Lifetime Free, so most customers will not pay a fee if approved during the offer period.

2. Airport And Travel Benefits

  • 1 complimentary domestic airport lounge visit every calendar quarter.
  • From 1 January 2025, you must spend ₹20,000 in the previous quarter to unlock the next quarter’s lounge visit (the first quarter is allowed for new cardholders without the spend condition).
  • Earn 5X rewards (10 points per ₹100) on travel bookings and international transactions.
  • You can also check the eligible airport lounges from the official lounge list PDF provided by the card issuer.

3. Insurance & Fuel Savings

  • Complimentary personal accident insurance:
    • Air accident cover: up to ₹50 lakh
    • Non-air accident cover: up to ₹10 lakh
  • 1% fuel surcharge waiver at petrol pumps for ₹400–₹5,000 transactions (maximum ₹250 per statement cycle).

Simple understanding: keep quarterly spending active, and this card gives lounge entry plus travel rewards; if the card is unused, benefits will automatically stop next quarter.

Additional Benefits & Features For You

1. Dining & Lifestyle

  • 5X reward points on dining — earn 10 points per ₹100 spent at restaurants.
  • On all other normal spending categories, you earn 2 reward points for every ₹100 spent (except fuel and excluded transactions).
  • Regular online shopping discounts and partner brand offers are available from time to time.
  • 24×7 concierge service for bookings, travel help, reservations and small assistance requests.

2. Financial & Card Usage

  • Smart EMI: purchases ₹2,500 or more can be converted into EMI (6 to 48 months options).
  • Up to 50 days interest-free period if the full bill is paid on time.
  • Minimum due payment option available (balance carries forward at ~3.75% monthly interest).
  • Zero lost card liability if the card loss is reported within 24 hours.
  • Contactless tap-and-pay is supported for fast, secure payments.

3. Family & Protection

  • Up to 3 add-on cards are lifetime free for spouse, parents, siblings or children above 18 years.

real understanding: this card is not only for travel, but dining, shopping and EMI flexibility are also main use cases, so even non-travellers can still take advantage if they spend regularly.

How the Reward Points Redemption Works

See, this card’s reward system is simple. Points you earn are not complicated miles or vouchers only — you can directly convert into cashback in your card statement or take shopping vouchers/products.

1. Reward Value

  • 1 Reward Point (RP) = ₹0.25
  • Minimum redemption is normally 500 points (₹125 value) required.
  • You can redeem for:
    • Statement cashback (bill amount reduces)
    • Gift vouchers (Amazon, Myntra, etc.)
    • Items from the Baroda Rewardz catalogue

2. Real-Life Spending Example

Suppose one month you used a card for normal expenses and the total spending became ₹40,000:

CategoryMonthly SpendEarningPoints
Dining & Travel₹15,00010 RP / ₹1001,500 pts
International Payments₹5,00010 RP / ₹100500 pts
Other Daily Spends₹20,0002 RP / ₹100400 pts
Total₹40,0002,400 pts

Redemption value: 2,400 points × ₹0.25 = ₹600 cashback. So, practically your ₹40,000 monthly spending gives around ₹600 return (~1.5% real value).

Note: Accelerated rewards are usually capped at around 2,000 points per billing cycle; after that, extra spending earns the normal rate.

3. How to Redeem Points

  1. Log in tothe BOBCARD online account → open Redeem Points section → choose cashback or voucher.
  2. Check points by SMS: send REWARD XXXX (last 4 digits of card) to 9223172141.
  3. Or call customer care OR email support, and place a redemption request.

Tip: Best value usually comes by redeeming as statement cashback, because it directly reduces the next month’s credit card bill.

What are the Eligibility, Limit & Charges?

See, this is not a beginner card. The bank keeps it for stable income customers, mostly salaried or established self-employed. Students usually don’t get this unless they have income proof.

1. Who is Eligible

  • Salaried employees: age 21–60 years
  • Self-employed/business: age 24–65 years
  • Minimum income around ₹7.2 lakh yearly (≈ ₹60,000 monthly)
  • PSU/Government staff are highly preferred because job stability is strong
  • Having a Bank of Baroda salary account improves approval chances
  • Students: generally not eligible (only possible if earning or applying with parent support)
  • Recommended credit score 750+ for smooth approval

2. Credit Limit

There is no fixed limit. The bank decides after checking:

  • salary/ITR income
  • CIBIL repayment history
  • existing loans or EMIs

Typical starting limits for this level card are often higher than entry cards (many cases above ₹50,000, depending on profile). Cash withdrawal limit: about 40% of the total credit limit.

3. Interest rate & Charges

Charge TypeDetails(GST 18% extra wherever applicable.)
Interest rate3.75% per month (≈45% yearly)
Late Payment Fee₹100 to ₹1,300 (Nil if dues < ₹100)
Cash Withdrawal2.5% or ₹500 minimum
Overlimit Fee2.5% or ₹600 minimum
Forex Markup3.5% on international spending
Joining/Annual Fee₹1,000 (check LTF offer at official site)

Simple advice: this card suits regular earners with a stable job. If income is low or credit history is new, the bank may decline or suggest entry-level card instead. Always pay full bill — interest 3.75% monthly becomes very costly if the balance is carried forward.

FAQs

  • What credit limit normally comes on BOBCARD Premier card?

There is no fixed limit. Most approved customers see ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh depending on income near ₹60k monthly and CIBIL around 750. Bank increases after 6–9 months clean repayment behaviour.

  • Does BOBCARD Premier give airport lounge access?

Yes, 1 domestic airport lounge visit every quarter. But from 2025 rule, you must spend ₹20,000 in previous quarter. Otherwise entry machine declines even if card is active.

  • What is the lounge spend criteria exactly?

Suppose you spend ₹20,000 between January–March, then April–June quarter lounge becomes unlocked. If spending is ₹19,500 even, system will not allow entry, staff cannot manually approve at airport.

  • BOBCARD Premier vs BOBCARD Eterna — which better?

Eterna is premium heavy spender card — high rewards and unlimited lounge, but fee and eligibility high. Premier is lifetime free, simpler approval, suitable for moderate monthly spending ₹15k–₹25k users.

  • Any practical tip before applying?

Check CIBIL score first. If below 720, approval chances drop or limit becomes small. Maintain no overdue EMIs and low credit utilisation one month before applying — approval becomes smoother.

  • Is this card good for international usage?

Works internationally, but forex charge 3.5% is high. So reward benefit mostly cancels. Better use for India travel, dining and online bookings rather than foreign currency payments.

  • Can I use this card on UPI apps?

Yes, RuPay variant links with UPI apps like PhonePe or BHIM. Small kirana store QR payments work, but remember it is still credit card — bill must be paid monthly.
