Delhi, 12:00 PM, 13 November – PhonePe has announced a partnership with OpenAI, the ChatGPT creator, the plans to add ChatGPT to its phonepe app for all. The announcement was made on November 13, 2025, via its official press release page. With this move, ChatGPT will be a new AI system for PhonePe; it integrates into the PhonePe for Business app and also for their famous Indus App Store. This means users will be able to ask ChatGPT or payment-related questions directly while using PhonePe.
In India, PhonePe has become a part of daily life for many people. The company’s data shows it now has over 600 million users as of March 2025. In the last 16 months before that, the reports counted more than 100 million people who joined the app.
As per the record of May 2025, the company shared that they have been active every single day 140 million people. All of this clearly shows how deeply PhonePe is now connected to everyday payments in the country.
