The State Bank of India is the country’s largest and one of the oldest banks. There are more than 2.3 lakh employees currently working, and up to 4.4 million pensioners and family pensioners. It tells how big it is. To support this massive workforce, SBI runs a dedicated HRMS (Human Resource Management System) portal, available online and through the MyHRMS mobile app.

If you are an employee, pensioner, or a dependent family member, the HRMS system is your single access point for accessing your benefits, such as salary slips, pension slips, Life certificates, leave applications, reimbursements, GEMS, tax forms, and even booking SBI holiday homes.

Which HRMS Portal is Official and New?

Many users face confusion, mainly because the old portal is not inactive, but as per official data from SBI.co.in, they recently rebranded and changed the URL.

First-Time Login: How to Open Your SBI HRMS Account

Here’s where most Newbie employees and pensioners get stuck. HR Team or LHO does not give you a username/password. Instead:

After your joining, the branch HR or your Local Head Office (LHO) HRMS department will link your PF Index (Employee Code) with your currently working mobile number and email ID.

You can confirm with your controller. If delayed, call your Local Head Office (LHO) HRMS cell and ask them to activate your ID. However, it can take upto 1–2 months after joining.

Steps to Access Once linked

1. Now, simply visit the new portal using a search engine and Google Chrome.
2. Enter your full PF Index number.
3. Click on Forgot Password (yes, even for first-time login).
4. Here, type your registered email ID and mobile.
5. You will get OTPs on both; you have to validate them.
6. For a strong password, create a new, unique password with numberdigits and symbols.
7. All Set! Log in again with PF Index + new password.

What is the PF index?

In HRMS, your PF Index number is your login ID.

• It is usually a 7 to 9-digit number.
• If it begins with a zero, you must skip the zero while logging in.
• This PF Index special number code every employee and pensioner.
• It is available on your payslip, pension slip, ID card, and other official letters from SBI.

For employees, the PF Index is also linked with ADS (Active Directory Services), and for pensioners, it is used for OTP validation during password reset.

What Your SBI BANK HRMS Dashboard Looks Like

Once logged in, your dashboard opens with your uploaded photo, your branch name and code (Barola – 05411), and the PF index front of your home portal.

Menu options contain:

• My Details – here you can check your department, date of joining, your tenure, your team, and your selected controller or manager.
• GEMS – performance & appraisal system, it tells you how many gems you earned every year.
• My Profile – contact, your emergency number, & nominee details, even your blood group.
• SBI Care – employee support services such as health insurance, and more.
• Approvals – pending requests

• Attendance & Leave (Apply/Approve)
• Tax Section – Form 16, investment declaration

How to Claim Reimbursements in Portal

Reimbursements (like petrol, medical, telephone bills, and briefcase allowance) are also managed via HRMS.

2. Select the type of reimbursement (such as newspaper, fuel, medical, etc.).
3. Upload bills/receipts (if required).
4. Submit for approval.

Where to download my Salary Slip from SBI MyHRMS

1. After logging in, go to the employee dashboard. Here, you will see sections like My Details, Attendance, Tax, and Benefits.
2. Click on ‘Payrolls and reports’ – Under the Pay & Benefits menu, find the Salary Slip option.
3. It is usually yearly and monthly-wise wise and you can download it as a PDF or print it out instantly.
4. The slip opens in a new window or starts downloading directly.

What is Sanjeevani in SBI HRMS?

Some think it is related to medical insurance, but it is a pure internal HR grievance helpline & counselling support system for employees, it works for pensioners, and family pensioners also. You can access directly through the portal for any issues.

It is meant for:

• Employees with HRMS or policy-related concerns.
• Pensioners needing assistance with pension-related services.

How MyHRMS Mobile App Works

The MyHRMS app mirrors that online portal but in a mobile-friendly design. it works on normal smartphones and access anywhere. You can download it from the Play Store and iOS. it works on the same employee code.

At the footer of the app, you will find five options:

• Search

Inside, the layout is simplified for mobile, your daily work and gives a full track of reports and earned gems.

What exactly is GEMS in SBI?

SBI also runs a recognition program called GEMS inside HRMS. It records and rewards employee contributions.

You can earn different types of “gems”, such as Ruby, Diamond, Emerald, based on performance and recognition during the financial year.

For example, if you see “You have earned 7 Gems this year,” it means your contributions have been recognised under the internal performance system. These records also play a role in employee appraisals and recognition.

SBI HRMS for Pensioners and Families

Your old employee code is your login ID same as other employees. If your online HRMS is inactive, you can contact with Pension Paying Branch (PPG) Department or your Administrative Office (AO) for activation.

1. You can use the MyHRMS app and log in.
2. Open the home and scroll down to the end of it.
3. You will get a download Card ID Card.
4. Here, you can select your name or your dependents, such as your spouse or son.
5. By tapping “Download ID Card”, it starts generating.

SBI Holiday Home Booking Online

Step-by-Step Booking Process

1. Log in to your HRMS (web-portal or app).
2. Click on Holiday Home Booking.
3. Select New Booking.
4. Choose Circle & Holiday Home from the list.
5. Select dates and submit the form.
6. Room availability and rent will be displayed.
7. Confirm by clicking “Save & Proceed.”
8. Enter guest details (staff no, name, relation, DOB, gender, mobile).
9. Add all members by clicking the “+” sign.
10. Verify details and confirm.
11. A success message will show, and an SMS confirmation will be sent to your registered mobile.

Who can book?

• Both serving and retired SBI staff.
• Pensioners are also allowed.

Booking window:

• Can be booked 120 days in advance.
• Minimum: 4 days before stay (if less, the approving authority must decide).

Charges per day (depending on retirement rank):

• Subordinate Staff: ₹25/-
• Clerical Staff: ₹50/-
• Supervising Staff: ₹100/-

Cancellation & Penalty Rules

• Cancel more than 15 days before stay: Full refund of booking charges.
• less than 15 days before stay if cancelled: No refund of booking charges.
• Cancel 1 day before stay: No refund + ₹500 penalty.
• Cancel on the day of stay / fail to report: No refund + ₹500 penalty.
