How to Open Your Equitas Bank Statement PDF

Every month, he receives an e-statement as a Password-attached PDF File by email. One day, Sandeep reached out to me and said – I downloaded my PDF statement but I could not figure out the correct Password format to Open It. So, Can you tell me – How to open my equitas bank statement PDF?

What is the Equitas Bank E-statement?

As per the Equitas Small Finance Bank Wikipedia page, the bank launched in September 2016 after receiving a license from the RBI. The bank continuously adds new digital programs to customer comfort, including Equitas Bank e-statement.

The Equitas statement is a good tool for account holders to maintain their records. Equitas Bank sends a digital version of your bank account statement directly to your email. It is fast, free, and eco-friendly. (No need for paper).

However, if you want a duplicate physical copy of your Equitas statement, you can request it directly through the Equitas branch or net banking. It has charges of Rs. 50 to Rs. 300 (depending on months or year-wise)

How to register Equitas monthly statement monthly

If you not receiving E-statements to your email from Equitas Bank, here is how you can activate email alerts of Equitas Bank –

1. Firstly, you need to visit Equitas mobile banking or Internet banking.
2. Log in using Username, password, and captcha. (If you using the first time, reset it using a Debit card and mobile number)
3. After logging in, on the dashboard of the Equitas net banking account, navigate to Services request in the menu bar.
4. Now, tap on email statement activation and enter or update your email ID.
5. All Set! The Email statements will be activated.

Once you start receiving Equitas e-statement via email, here is how you can download and unlock it –

How to Unlock Equitas Statement PDF

1. Locate Email: First, on your smartphone, open your email inbox and search for recently received statements. You can use the search bar and find it. If you still don’t see an Equitas e-statement, please check the spam folder in your inbox.
2. Download: Once you get your email from Equitas Bank, scroll to the end. Here you get an attached PDF File. Tap on the Save button to download it directly.
3. Open It: go to the downloads folder in File Manager and tap on the downloaded file to open it.
4. Enter The Password –
   • For Savings Accounts: According to Aidy bot chatbot by Equitas Bank, The Bank uses a password format such as your Date of Birth in DDMM format, followed by the first three letters in (UPPERCASE) of your registered name.
     • Let me give you an example – if your name is RAJU SINGH and Your Date of Birth is 2 August 1999, then your password will be – 0208RAJ.
   • For Current Account Statements: If you have a Company bank account, please use your 10-digit PAN Number as a Password.

NOTE: Re-check your received statement email. The Equitas bank provides instructions to unlock it. Moreover, if you found issues while opening the PDF, the email also provides Equitas Bank customer care helpline and WhatsApp number for support.

Having Errors and Issues, Here is what you can do –

1. Put the Correct Password only –

If you having issues and finding errors while unlocking the Equitas e-statement, you can re-check your format first. If the first option is not working, try another.

Also, make sure you enter the password format correctly, with no spaces, only capital letters, and no wrong details.

2. Change PDF Reader or Update the App

Sometimes, PDF Reader can be a real reason. Please use a different one or update it. Also, try to use different devices like Your Laptop.
