Every month, IDBI sends a digital statement PDF to Rajiv’s email account, but it is a password-protected file. Rajiv was having issues opening it. However, if you want physical copies of the IDBI statement, you can request them from the branch, which has charges up to Rs.100 plus courier charges. The statement is used as income proof as well.

Back to the e-statement, it contains all your sensitive banking information like – email, name, house address, mobile number, and more.

How to Open Your IDBI Bank Statement PDF

Let’s talk about how you can Locate and unlock your IDBI bank e-statement. Follow these steps –

  1. Find Your Email Statement: First, you need to open your inbox and navigate to the statement email that you want to unlock. You can search for it using the search bar at the top of the email app.
  2. Open the email: Once you get the idbi email statement, open it and scroll down to the end of it where you find the attached PDF File.
  3. Download and Open It. Tap on the save button to download it. to find your downloaded files, go to the downloads folder in your file manager.
  4. Enter The Password:
    • For Bank Account Statements: To open your IDBI account PDF statement, The Bank uses your 9 to 11-digit Customer ID (CIF Number) as a Password. Let me give you an example. If your Customer ID is 1234567891, simply enter it exactly as it is.
    • For Credit Card Statements: The bank sets the password as the First four letters of Your Name in capital letters (printed on the front of the card) followed by the Date and month of your Birth in DDMM format. For Example, if your name is Rajiv Teotia and Your Birthday is 05 April 2000. So, The Password would be RAJI0504.

Note: Double-check your credit card or account email statement received by IDBI Bank. The bank also provides instructions and examples to unlock the pdf file. If the bank updates the password format, you will know.

How to get my IDBI customer ID?

in case you forget your customer ID, you can check your passbook, chequebook, Welcome kit, or old statements, or directly call the IDBI Bank customer care number at 1800-209-4324 or 1800-22-1070 (24×7 service).

Tip: You can log in to your net banking account and find your customer ID in the My Profile Account information section in your IDBI Mobile banking app or Internet banking.

  1. Incorrect Password – Please double-check the password format while entering it. Sometimes, capital letters or small letters can be the reason for showing an incorrect password.
  2. PDF Reader Compatibility or Corrupted PDF – go to the email and download the PDF File. still not opening, try to change or update your PDF Reader. Some PDF readers might have trouble handling encrypted PDFs
