Tallyman Axis – Official Guide for Customers & Overdue Payments

Tallyman collection is a specially designed debt collection management software. As per its name, it works as a tally of customers to collect, track, and manage overdue payments. It was built by Experian and used by Axis Bank.

It is not a regular banking app or customer portal. Instead, it is a backend system. Unlike internet banking or mobile banking apps, Tallyman is not designed for customers to log in and pay bills directly. Instead, it helps Axis Bank’s internal team segment defaulters, personalise repayment plans, and recover dues more effectively while reducing collection costs.

Why did Axis Bank choose Experian Tallyman?

According to The Times of India’s report, in July 2013, Axis Bank officially partnered with Experian, a global credit and information company, to deploy the debt management system, named Tallyman.

The bank needed a way to:

  • Take growing loan and credit card customers efficiently.
  • Reduce bad debt write-offs and improve working capital.
  • To use collection strategies instead of using generic recovery calls and notifications.
  • Automate workflows to reduce dependency on manual tracking.

Axis Bank chose Experian rather than other top vendors such as Equifax, CRIF, and more for better customisation facility, and global expertise in debt management.

Which Login Pages Are Real? (And Which Are Fake?)

This is where a lot of confusion and scam risk exists. You might come across URLs like:

  • pcccollections.axisbank.co.in (official for Axis Bank Partners)
  • axisallocation.axisbank.co.in (allocation Axis Bank Partners)
  • collections.axisbank.co.in

These are internal Axis Bank/partner portals for collection staff. Customers don’t need them.

However, there are lots of scams related to Axis Bank –

Many of the fraudsters and non-genuine websites sometimes create fake pages with names like “Axis Debt Management Login” and trick people into entering their bank personal login details. Please remember –

  1. Axis Bank customers cannot log in to the Tallyman portal.
  2. If you have an overdue, Axis Bank will contact you via official numbers or emails.
  3. Tallyman, it’s just a web-based application, not a recovery authority to call you for paying bills.
  4. Also, for Axis and its partners’ customers, never try to log in, share OTPs, or log in on random sites.
  5. If you see any random “Tallyman login” links asking you to register as a customer, that’s misleading.
  6. On social media and Google searches, there are lots of misleading blogs about Tallyman and how to log in and register an account.

Who Really Uses Tallyman Axis Debt Collections?

Axis Bank tallyman software

The only users who can access the portal are –

  • Axis Bank employees: To monitor and manage overdue accounts and defaulters.
  • Collection agencies: Authorised third-party partners who log in using Axis Bank–issued IDs (like userid@axisbankpartners.com).
  • Supervisors: To analyse recovery reports, ageing analysis, and performance.
  • Recovery agents – to manage delinquent accounts
  • Risk analysts – to identify high-risk accounts before default.

How to Log In To Axis Bank Tallyman Collections Portal

A quick step-by-step guide for accessing the portal only for authorised users (staff/partners) –

  1. Open Chrome/Edge in a private window.
  2. Go to pcccollections.axisbank.co.in.
  3. You’ll be redirected to the Microsoft Azure AD SSO page.
  4. Enter your user ID in this format: yourid@axisbankpartners.com.
  5. Type the Axis-issued password.
  6. Complete MFA (OTP/Authenticator app) if prompted.
  7. First-time users: change the temporary password and set recovery options.
  8. If shown, pick the Tallyman Collections environment (Prod/UAT).
  9. After login, review Queues/My Work/Allocations to see assigned cases.
  10. Use Customer Search to open an account, update call outcomes/promises to pay, and save notes.
  11. Generate or view Ageing/Performance reports as per access.
  12. Sign out when done.

Where is the Tallyman Axis Used?

Tallyman is primarily used in Axis Bank’s back-office collection departments by pre-sign users and partners. Here is a view of what happens inside Tallyman:

  1. Customer misses payment (credit card EMI, personal loan, home loan, etc.).
  2. Tallyman flags the account as overdue.
  3. Segmentation happens – customer is classified as:
    • High-value, short delay
    • Chronic late payer
    • At risk of default
    • Already in serious arrears
  4. Collection strategy assigned – reminder SMS, soft call, restructuring offer, or recovery agent visit.
  5. Tracking and closure – once payment is received, Tallyman marks the account as “resolved.”

When is Tallyman triggered?

  • Immediately after a missed due date (soft reminder).
  • After 30 days overdue (collections team contact).
  • After 60–90 days overdue (more serious recovery action).
  • Beyond 90 days (legal or recovery agency involvement).

The software ensures no account “slips through the cracks” and every overdue account is tracked.

What Should Customers Know About Tallyman Axis?

If you are a customer, here’s what’s important for you:

  • You cannot log in to Tallyman yourself.
  • If you are overdue, your account may already be tagged inside Tallyman.
  • You’ll start receiving reminders, emails, and sometimes agent calls – all triggered by the Tallyman system.
  • Ignoring overdue reminders may escalate your case to field collection agents or legal action.
  • Your repayment behaviour will be shared with credit bureaus (Experian, CIBIL, Equifax, CRIF Highmark).

What to Do If You Get a Tallyman Axis Reminder

  1. Check if the reminder is real – Official SMS and emails will always mention Axis Bank and come from verified IDs. Beware of scams pretending to be Tallyman.
  2. Log in to Axis Bank Internet Banking or Mobile App to check your actual overdue amount.
  3. Pay immediately – even a partial payment shows intent and may reduce pressure from collection calls.
  4. Negotiate if required – in case of large overdue amounts, Axis Bank may offer a repayment plan or settlement.
  5. Visit your base branch or ask for help via the customer Care helpline

Common Inquiries

  • Is Tallyman Axis linked to my credit score?

Yes, it is designed to collect and manage debt management for Axis Bank, so any missed payments related to Axis Bank accounts recorded in Tallyman are also reported to Experian and other bureaus.

  • Is Axis Bank Tallyman the same as internet banking?

Not at all, it is a pure internal debt collection system and only accessible by Axis bank partners and team, while Axis internet banking is for regular customer transactions and handling accounts.
