How to Open Yes Bank Statement PDF Password

One of my friends, Rajesh, who is also a good client at easemoney, recently came to me with a password-protected PDF file. Rajesh was confused and couldn’t figure out how to open it, when I checked, it was a Yes Bank e-statement PDF, and it was protected with a Password set by the Bank.

What is a Yes Bank e-statement?

Yes bank e-statement is a digital version of your account transaction records, your personal and banking information. such as Your Name, CIF Number, Account Number, Address, closing balance, your credit or Debit money transactions.

As per the Digital India Campaign and environmental benefits, The Banks promote digital statements. Furthermore, it is fast, free, and convenient.

So, how can you get Yes Bank’s monthly statements to your email ID? When you open the bank account, the bank will ask you for your email ID to activate the monthly e-statement on your Yes Bank savings or current account.

If you already have a bank account and do not receive an e-statement, simply download the IRIS Yes Bank mobile banking app, log in using your MPIN, go to my profile, and update your email ID. OR you can call Yes Bank customer care.

Once you start getting the statement monthly, now, the next question will be how you can download it and unlock it.

What is the Password for the Yes Bank Account Statement?

1. Go to your Email: Open your Inbox on your smartphone. locate your Yes Bank recent account statement email.
2. Save it: open email, scroll down to the end of the email, and here you will find the PDF attached File. Tap on the save button to download it.
3. Open it: To open the PDF, you need a PDF reader app. Make sure you have an up-to-date PDF Reader such as Google PDF Viewer or Foxit Reader.
4. Enter The Password:

To unlock your Yes bank account statement PDF, the bank uses a password that typically combines your 9-digit Customer ID (CIF Number) followed by Your Date of Birth in DDMMYYYY Format.

Here is an example: if your Yes bank Customer ID is 555544441 and your Date of Birth (that you registered with the bank) is 15 August 2000, your password would be 55554444115082000. Enter this carefully to avoid errors.

Note: The bank also provides password instructions, formats, and examples in the email, and if they have issues opening it, the email also includes the 24/7 working Yes Bank customer care number 1800 1200.

What If You Forget Your Yes Bank Customer ID?

Now that you understand the password format, but do not know your Customer ID, here is how to retrieve it.

1. Know Your Customer ID via Yes Bank Netbanking

• Step 1: Go to the Yes Bank net banking portal and tap on the Register (First time) button.
• Step 2: Choose “Register with Debit Card”
  Select the option to register using your debit card.
• Step 3: Tap on “Know Your Customer ID” now, and enter your registered mobile number.
• Step 4: Provide Additional Details
  Input your date of birth or PAN card number for verification.
• Step 5: Verify with OTP
  You will get 6 digits on your registered email and mobile number. Enter the OTP to proceed.
• Step 6: View Your Customer ID
  Once verified, your Customer ID will be displayed on the screen.

Alternatively, you can Check Official Documents, These bank documents usually have the customer ID printed. Like –

• Welcome Kit (Letter)
• Cheque Book
• Passbook
• Old Account Statement

Tips to Avoid Password Errors

After entering the password of your Yes Bank statement PDF, if it shows incorrect, please make sure that –

• Remember to enter your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format.
• Cross-check your Customer ID and date of birth before entering them in the password.
• Check that no extra spaces or characters are included.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

1. Showing Downloading failed: Check your internet connection, phone storage, and email storage, also, clear your browser cache before downloading again.
2. PDF Error: Sometimes, the PDF File gets corrupted while downloading it. Try to download it again.
3. Change PDF Reader: PDF Reader can raise a red flag, so try to change it, or use Adobe PDF Reader or Foxit PDF Reader.
4. Downloaded File missing: Go to your smartphone’s file manager, go to the downloads folder, and get your email statement.
