- Offline – by visiting your nearest Bharat Gas distributor.

Step-by-step guide to change your Bharat Gas address
1. Online Method: Through the Bharat Gas Portal
This is the official method offered by BPCL for primary LPG holders to update their address by sitting home, it is a pure digital and a few-minute process, follow the steps –

- Firstly, visit the official portal of Bharat Petroleum for LPG – https://my.ebharatgas.com/
- Tap on the Login button and enter your Login ID and password to access.
- For a New user, enter your consumer number, linked mobile number, and OTP to set a new login ID and password.
- On the dashboard, click on Submit KYC under Customer Console.
- Now, scroll down and enter your new address details in the Contact information section.
- Enter details like POA category, POA number, house name, street name, landmark, city, state, PIN code, email (if changed), and Telephone number (if changed).
- You have to select a valid Proof of Address document from the accepted list.
- Scroll down to the end and choose the reason for the KYC update as an Address Update option.
- Here, you have to enter a scanned copy of your POA Document.
- Tap on the Submit button, and the process will start.
- It will take upto 3 to 5 working days, and an update notification will be sent to your email ID.
- If the document mismatches or any other issue happens, they will ask you to re-upload or visit your local BharatGas distributor office.
Note: Before uploading a document, your file must be size 30 KB to 300 KB and file formats accepted of PDF, JPEG, JPG, and PNG only.
2. Offline Method: By Visiting Your Local Distributor
- For this method, you have to visit your current Bharat Gas distributor and inform them about your new address.
- Fill out the address change application form provided at the office.
- Attach a copy of your Proof of Address (POA) and your Gas Subscription Voucher (SV).
If you’re moving within the same city:
- You don’t need to return your cylinder or regulator.
- The distributor will issue a Transfer Advice (TA) valid for 3 months.
- Submit this TA to your new local distributor to update your records.
If you’re moving to another city:
- You’ll need to surrender your cylinder and regulator.
- Your current distributor will issue a Termination Voucher (TV) and refund your deposit.
- Once you shift to your new city, just take your TV (Transfer Voucher) to your city’s local distributor to request your connection at your latest address.
- It usually takes 24 hours for same-city updates and 3–5 days for inter-city transfers.
What documents are accepted as proof of address?
When a proposal for an address change is made, Bharat Petroleum requires one to provide an official, government-approved, valid proof of address (POA) as per their database.
