How to Update Your Mobile Number in Indane Gas Easily

Whenever you link or unlink your registered mobile number, Indane updates its records so that all future bookings, notifications, and subsidy credits reach your new number. You can even add multiple numbers, but one must be set as the default (primary) for login and booking.

Without the correct number or any old inactive number, you may miss booking confirmations or even fail to log in to Indane’s online services.

Indane, a brand under Indian Oil Corporation, the world’s second-largest distribution network, serves more than 130 million families. They offer multiple ways to change your registered mobile number, including online, IVR, SMS, and offline.

What Does Mobile Number Update Mean in Indane Gas?

Your mobile number is an LPG booking method for bill payment apps, such as Paytm, Flipkart Pay, and Phonepe. So, it requires using the latest number for any work related to your indian gas account.

Updating your mobile number simply means replacing or adding a new number to your Indane Gas consumer account. Once updated:

• You can log in to the Indane One Portal/App.
• Book cylinders through SMS, IVRS, or mobile app.
• Receive delivery notifications and subsidy credits.
• Add multiple numbers, but keep one as primary for every time booking and logging the Indane One App.
• OTP-based verification works properly.

When Should You Update Your Number?

• When you buy a new SIM card.
• If your old number is lost or inactive.
• When you want to add a family member’s number.
• Immediately after switching phones or porting to another operator.

What are the options to update it?

You can update it:

1. Online – Through Indane One Portal and Indane One App.
2. Semi-Online – Through IVRS or SMS.
3. Offline – By visiting your Indane distributor agency.

Note: The registered consumer (name on the LPG account) and family members can request for update to the number only, but final approval is done in the consumer’s name. Usually, verify via aadhar at the distributor office.

1. Via Indane One Web Portal

This is a pure digital official method to update your number, and it works instantly. The documents required are your passbook for the consumer number, your old registered mobile number and OTP.

1. First of all, you have to visit the official website of Indian Oil: https://cx.indianoil.in/webcenter/portal/Customer
2. If you have already registered, enter your mobile number and password to log in.
   • If using first time → select Sign Up and provide:
   • Mobile Number
   • Full Name (as per passbook)
   • Email ID
   • Captcha → then set a password.
3. After logging in, tap on LPG in the menu and go to Profile Dashboard.
4. Here, you will get the “Edit” button just below your profile picture and name.
5. Under the Telephone section, tap on Add new mobile number.
6. Enter your latest number and tap on Submit to receive a 6-digit OTP on your new SIM.
7. Set your latest number as your primary.
8. Optional, but now you can Unlink your old number if not required.

Tip: You must have an active old mobile number to change it; if not, please ask your distributor.

2. Use Indane One Mobile App

1. To update using a mobile phone, you have to download the IndianOil One App. Available on iOS and Android.
2. For login, you have to enter your mobile number, password, and captcha.
3. Now, on the dashboard, tap the Menu (left corner) → choose My Profile.
4. Open the Edit profile option and remove your old number, and add a new.
5. You have to verify it via Two OTPs –
   • One on your old number
   • One on your new number
6. Enter both OTPs to confirm → number updated.

3. Change through IVRS

1. You have to dial the IndianOil LPG official number – 7718955555 from your current linked mobile number.
2. Choose the option related to Change of Registered Mobile Number.
3. Press 1 to de-register the old number.
4. Now, enter your new mobile number and provide OTP to complete the verification.
5. Update complete.

Important Bonus: If this option is not available right now, you can dial this 7718955555 number with your new non-linked mobile number, now, select register it, provide your 16-digit LPG ID (available on your passbook), your aadhaar card last 4 numbers in the dialer and submit the request. It will update within 1 or 2 hours.

4. Via SMS method

You have to send a Text SMS from your new mobile number to 7718955555.

The format to use –

Type = IOC (STD Code + Distributor Telephone Number) Your full Consumer Number)

Once verified, your new number will be linked.

5. Your Local Indane Distributor (In-Person visits)

If you don’t have access to your old number or OTP fails, visit your distributor:

1. Go to your nearest Indane agency.
2. Provide:
   • Your Consumer Number
   • Copy of Aadhaar Card
   • KYC details (address/ID proof)
3. Fill out the Mobile Number Change Request Form. (if required)
4. Submit and verify with your new number.
5. Number updated within 24 hours.
