Here’s how it works:

  1. First and most important, please make sure your mobile number is linked to your Kerala Gramin Bank accounts (savings, selfie-account, and current account).
  2. Dial the official missed call number: 9015800400 from your registered number.
  3. The call will disconnect automatically after 2/3 rings.
  4. After that, you will get an SMS from the bank with your available bank balance and your account’s last 4 digits.
  5. If you have multiple accounts linked with the same number, you will get all bank account numbers and each bank balance in the same SMS. (optional)

Note:

  • This works only for savings and current accounts. Also, you can confirm with the bank.
  • If it’s not working or is not getting SMS after a moment, it might be due to server issues. Also, it can be a technical problem with the bank.
  • Experts say, You can try again after a few hours on working days.

3. Through the Paytm App

  1. Open the Paytm app on your phone.
  2. Tap on your profile image (top left).
  3. Go to UPI & Payment Settings.
  4. Tap “Add New Bank Account”.
  5. Search or scroll for “Kerala Gramin Bank.”
  6. Enter your debit card number, expiry date, CVV, and 4-digit ATM PIN.
  7. Enter the OTP sent to your phone and set your UPI PIN.

Earlier, Kerala Gramin Bank offered KGB mPAY and the little KGB app. These have now been discontinued at the end of 2024. In their place, the bank has officially launched the new KGB INFI app in their next phase of digital products. Follow the process to view your balance easily, just using a 6-digit mpin whenever you want –

Steps to register on KGB INFI:

  1. Firstly, please download this new KGB INFI from the Play Store or App Store.
  2. Accept terms and select “Let’s Go” on the welcome screen to join the app.
  3. Now, tap Register, then tap Send SMS to verify your mobile number.
  4. Enter the OTP received on your bank-linked mobile no.
  5. Set a 6-digit passcode for login.
  6. Log in and tap “Activate Mobile Banking”.
  7. Enter your debit card number, expiry, CVV or use branch code/token (visit your branch, ask for activation code to register).
  8. Set your 6-digit MPIN and then set fingerprint or face unlock to log in easily.
  9. On the homepage, tap the eye icon to see your balance.

Requirements:

  • Your mobile number should be registered.
  • You must have an active debit card. If not available or stolen, apply new one or visit your branch and ask for generate token register for mobile banking.
  • It works with fingerprint or face unlock for faster access and checking the balance daily.

3. DIGI KGB App

This is another official app by Kerala Gramin Bank. DiGi KGB is a lightweight and simple app for opening accounts and viewing balances.

What makes it special?

  • You can open a selfie savings account directly from the app.
  • It also works as an m-passbook for real-time account info.

Steps to use:

  1. Download the DIGI KGB app from the Play Store.
  2. Open it and enter your mobile number.
  3. Tap “Already Have Account”.
  4. Enter your full account number.
  5. Enter OTP, then set a 4-digit MPIN.
  6. Log in and tap Balance Enquiry or Mini Statement.

Easy for people who don’t want a complex setup or don’t use UPI.

How to Get Balance without an Internet And a Mobile Number Linked?

1. Visit Your ATM

  1. Insert your KGB RuPay Contactless debit card.
  2. Select any language you like (English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi)
  3. Enter your ATM PIN.
  4. Select your account type.
  5. Enter any random code (optional)
  6. Choose “Balance Inquiry.”
  7. View it on screen or print the receipt.

2. At the Branch:

  • Visit your nearest Kerala Gramin Bank branch and ask for a balance check at the counter. It’s not working; you can use the passbook update machine in the branch to update with the latest balance.
